Multi-Channel Networks (“MCNs” or “networks”) are third-party service providers that affiliate with multiple Tevi Spaces to offer services that may include audience development, content programming, creator collaborations, digital rights management, monetization, and/or sales.
All Tevi Spaces that are part of a MCN must also have their Space reviewed and follow Tevi policies.
You can find your MCN information by going to your Space and tap on "About".
Key aspects of working with MCNs
Joining an MCN is an important choice for any Tevi creator. Before you join, make sure you under stand what services and/or results the MCN will deliver in exchange for your payment.
By accepting the invitation to join an MCN, the creator acknowledges and agrees to enter into a contractual working relationship with the MCN.
You should also make sure you understand when your payments will be distributed, and what protections you have if your MCN fails to pay you on time or fails to pay you what you are owed.
While some creators may choose to partner with an MCN, you don’t need to join an MCN to be successful on Tevi.
Revenue and getting paid
MCNs typically take a percentage of revenue from the creator’s portion as agreed before joining the MCN. This rate will be reflected on the invitation in Tevi App, you have the right to accept or reject their offer. Joining an MCN has no impact on your revenue share with Tevi.
Your revenue will be paid directly to you, without flowing through your MCN’s account. You will receive a Net amount after the deduction of your MCN fee and Tevi Service Fee for some features.
Best practices for MCNs
All MCNs are responsible for providing value to their creators by following Tevi’s best practices, including:
- Avoiding spam, misleading language to recruit channels to join an MCN.
- Clearly explaining the revenue rates and levels of support provided.
- Acting in an honest and transparent way with respect to services offered and contractual obligations.
- Onboarding and supporting spaces in line with their agreements.
If an MCN doesn't adhere to these best practices, they may lose account features and monetization. If you believe that an MCN is not following Tevi's policies, contact the Creator Support team.
Leaving an MCN
If you're a creator under an MCN and you believe your contract with your MCN allows you to do so, you can leave your MCN from your “About” section in your App.
Creators who join any MCN are required to remain with the network for a minimum period of 60 days before they are eligible to terminate their association with the MCN.
